Colorado State Patrol trooper hit by suspected impaired driver

A suspected impaired driver slammed into a Colorado State Patrol car in Jefferson County, injuring the trooper, according to authorities.

The collision happened Thursday morning at 20th and Youngfield streets, according to a 4:50 a.m. CSP tweet.

The trooper suffered minor injuries.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County jail.

The person’s name and gender has not been released.
