An Adams County man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his father.

Waylon Robitaille appeared in an Adams County courtroom Thursday to be advised of the charges against him, according to the district attorney’s office.

He has been charged in the Saturday shooting of his father, 52-year-old David Robitaille.

Deputies responding to a 911 call found the body of David Robitaille in an apartment at 7530 Broadway, a news release said. He had been shot in the head.

A preliminary聽hearing is scheduled for July 13. An investigation is ongoing.
