Colorado’s Tecia Torres is taking on a former UFC champion in her next trip to the octagon.
Torres, ranked No. 4 in the UFC women’s strawweight division, will face No. 1 Joanna Jedrzejcyk on July 28 at UFC on Fox 30 in Calgary.
Torres (10-2) is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Jessica Andrade in February. Her only other blemish is a loss in April 2016 to Rose Namajunas, the current strawweight champion.
Jedrzejcyk (14-2) was the first-ever UFC strawweight titlist, holding the belt for 31 months until losing it to Namajunas last November. She lost their rematch in April by unanimous decision.
