Denver police have arrested a person who assaulted an officer early Friday morning in Denver’s Arapahoe Square neighborhood.
The officer was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, said Denver police spokesman Jay Casillas.
The suspect was arrested for investigation of felony assault on a peace officer, Casillas said. The name and gender of the suspect was not available.
Police were called at 4:10 a.m. about a disturbance at 22nd and Lawrence streets, Casillas said.
When the officers arrived, the suspect physically attacked the officer, inflicting minor injuries.
The name of the officer has not been released.
