A 12 inch water main break in Lakewood has closed Sheridan Boulevard in both directions from Mississippi Avenue to Arizona Avenue on Saturday morning, officials said.
The water main break is located at Sheridan Boulevard and Mississippi Avenue near Westwood Park, Denver Water said just after 8 a.m.
Eight residents in the area are without water due to the break, according to Denver Water.
Photos and videos from Denver7 show flooded streets that have nothing to do with the cloudy skies looming overhead.

Authorities asked commuters to avoid the area, if possible.
