Denver police are searching for clues in the death of a person found Friday morning inside a Denver Performing Arts Complex parking garage. Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.

A body was discovered inside the garage at 13th and Arapahoe streets, according to a 6:21 a.m. Denver police tweet that was confirmed by police spokesman John White.

The investigation shut down the garage through the morning and into the early afternoon.

“We’re documenting everything,” White said.

The garage reopened shortly before 2 p.m. Despite an earlier report that the investigation had closed the entire performing arts complex, White said the investigation was always limited to just the garage.

Events scheduled Friday evening at the complex should go on as normal, White said.

Police are not releasing the gender or identity of the victim. They also aren’t discussing any other circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body. White said detectives currently do not have any information about a possible suspect.

Denver7 reported Friday afternoon that electricians found the body, which appeared to be a security guard who had been beaten.
