A strong spring storm could produce powerful wind gusts up to 50 mph, small hail and brief moderate to heavy rain in Denver, forecasters say.
Severe storms also could generate large hail over the Palmer Divide area, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in Denver, mainly after 3 p.m. The high temperature will be around 82 degrees.

On Thursday, expect sunny skies and a high of around 88 degrees. It will be slightly warmer and clear on Friday.
Heading into the weekend, there’s a slight chance for afternoon rain Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to continue to climb into the lower 90s early next week.
Early next week, temperatures will climb into the lower 90s.
