An Erie man arrested last week on suspicion of drug possession was apparently more interested in the snowflakes than he was about the serious charges he could be facing.

Tye Christopher Seiler, 19, was arrested Thursday by Frederick police on suspicion of possession of a Schedule 2 controlled substance with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, all felonies, as well as one count of misdemeanor theft.

Seiler was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Thursday after police responded to a report of a man and a woman in a car in the 9300 block of Cottonwood Circle who were arguing and throwing things at each other while the vehicle was still in motion. When police arrived at the scene, they found a silver Acura sedan parked in that block.

A police officer pulled his cruiser in front of the Acura, nose-to-nose, and activated its white “take down” lights, which showed a woman, later identified as 18-year-old India Harris, in the driver’s seat with makeup streaming down her face as though she had been crying, according to court records. A man, later identified as Seiler, was in the passenger seat.

Harris told police she was dating Seiler and had just picked him up from a friend’s house. The friend, who is not being identified because he is a minor, later told police he and Seiler dropped acid that night, records stated. The friend said Seiler also had taken ecstasy.
