Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez was scratched from the lineup prior to Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks due to back spasms, and Noel Cuevas will play right field in his place.

Gonzalez, who already spent one stint on the disabled list in late April due to a right hamstring strain, is hitting .321 in seven games this month, including a monstrous 473-foot homer earlier the week in Cincinnati.

Cuevas, in his 18th start in the outfield since being called up April 23, is hitting .282 (20-for-71) with one homer.
