Rockies agree to terms with left-hander Ryan Rolison, the team’s first-round draft pick this year

The Ole Miss standout signed for the full value of his pick, $2,912,300, according to MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis

Colorado agreed to terms with Ryan Rolison, the club announced Wednesday, after selecting the left-hander in the first round (No. 22 overall) in the 2018 MLB Draft.

The southpaw signed for the full value of his pick, $2,912,300,

Rolison was 10-4 with a 3.70 ERA as a sophomore at Ole Miss this season, and the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder had previously garnered Freshman All-America honors following the 2017 season.

The seventh left-handed pitcher to be selected by the Rockies in the first round and first since Kyle Freeland in 2014, Rolison is from Jackson, Tenn., and starred at the University School of Jackson.

As of Wednesday, Colorado had signed 26 of their picks.
