
A mother and two children, ages 2 and 3, wanted by authorities over concerns for the kids’ safety, were found Friday afternoon in Montrose.
The mother, Felicia Mooneyham, was arrested on suspicion of child abuse, and the children are “safe,” according to the San Miguel Sheriff’s Office.
An anonymous tip, after Mooneyham was spotted in a Family Dollar store, led to the arrest. The children are in the care of child protective services.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation earlier had issued an endangered missing advisory for the trio.

Before Friday’s developments, the children were last seen with Mooneyham on Tuesday in Norwood, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators describe Mooneyham as a “known methamphetamine user.”
