Carmon, 28, of Westminster, was sentenced in January after pleading guilty to negligent child abuse causing serious bodily injury and attempted first-degree assault.

Thornton police on Dec. 17, 2016, found her son strapped into a car seat in a parking lot. Carmon, who had been drinking heavily, left the boy in the car overnight in a snowstorm. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment of frostbite and hypothermia.
