A suspect in a Colorado Springs homicide case has been arrested, police said.

Mark Christopher Peters, 46, has been taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder, police said Monday afternoon.

Peters is accused of a fatal shooting Friday in the 3400 block of Galleria Terrace. Officers found the body of a woman inside a home and Peters, who was wanted on felony warrants in a separate criminal case, was identified as a suspect in the woman’s death.
