Firefighters extinguished a trenching tractor in Parker that burst into flames Thursday afternoon after striking a natural gas line, officials confirmed.

South Metro Firefighters responded to the situation that happened at 15800 E. Otero Ave. shortly after 1 p.m.

No one was injured in the blaze, and no structures were threatened.

Firefighters contended with 100-degree temperatures with flames reaching 1,100 degrees while they put out the fire after waiting for Xcel Energy to cut off the natural gas supply.

Video of the situation provided by firefighters showed crews surrounding the tractor, which was putting off huge, orange flames and black smoke.
