
The Rockies are out of town. Broncos training camp doesn’t start for another week. And the Rapids are starting an MLS road stretch. Yes, this weekend appears dull for Denver sports fans, but if you’re looking for something different to do, consider heading out to Morrison. Unless you’re a fan of String Cheese Incident, there’s no concert I can recommend, but Red Rocks isn’t the only thing in that area.
The Dodge Mile-High Nationals are coming to Bandimere Speedway from Friday-Sunday, bringing drag racing from top fuel cars, funny cars and stock cars that reach speeds of up to 300 mph to Thunder Mountain. (Take that, NASCAR.) Even if you’re not a fan of racing, itap worth checking out at least once, with . Plus, that ticket gives you access to the pit to meet the drivers and see the cars up close.
