A couple of passersby assist Gypsum Fire Department crews to put out flames that had run down the Dotsero underpass along Interstate 70. The wildfire in the median closed I-70 to traffic in both directions from Gypsum to Dotsero.

A grassland fire has shut down a stretch of Interstate 70 on the Western Slope.
The highway is closed in both directions from Dotsero to Eagle, according to the state Department of Transportation.
There was no immediate report of injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
