Severe thunderstorms could bring large hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph to the Denver metro area on Thursday, forecasters say.
The high temperature will climb to around 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The best chance for rain and thunderstorms will be after 4 p.m. when there’s a 50 percent chance of rain and a possibility of hail.
Another round of storms will develop this afternoon with large hail and damaging wind gusts being the main threats. High temps will be about 10° below average.

Rain is possible on Friday afternoon as well.
Monsoonal rains and thunderstorms are expected through the weekend and on Monday.
The high temperature on Sunday will be around 75 degrees.
