Commerce City police suspect alcohol was a contributing factor in a fatal car crash that killed an 11-month-old girl.

Multiple agencies responded to a call about a serious accident in the 6500 block of East 80th Ave. at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday where they found a single vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle.

An adult female, who has yet to be named, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries along with her 11-month-old daughter, according to police.

The baby passed away from her injuries overnight.
