Littleton firefighters give oxygen to two cats rescued from Highlands Ranch house fire

Officials said smoke alarms woke residents, allowing them to escape

Firefighters rescued two cats from a residential basement fire in Highlands Ranch early Tuesday morning, the Littleton Fire Department says.

Firefighters administered oxygen to the cats. The cats were taken to an animal ER by Douglas County Sheriff.
