Vehicles with flat tires are seen near Fifth Avenue and Emery Street in Longmont on Monday. Multiple vehicles were vandalized this weekend in the area.

More than two dozen vehicles’ tires were slashed this weekend in Longmont, mostly in the downtown area.

So far, Longmont police report that 27 vehicles were damaged, with a total 37 tires slashed, according to Cmdr. Joel Post.

There are no leads or suspects yet as to who committed the crimes, according to Post.

The damage was done overnight from Saturday into Sunday, Post said. Most of the cars were parked downtown in the areas between Fourth and Sixth avenues, and Emery and Terry streets. Some were also further north near 10th Avenue and Main Street.

Police are looking for surveillance footage in the area where cars were damaged. If police can connect all of the cases, Post said, the suspect or suspects could be charged with criminal mischief.
