The FBI, and scores of members from Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force have joined Denver police in their search for a 7-year-old boy who went missing Monday afternoon near Chambers Road and Bolling Drive in Denver and remains missing Tuesday afternoon.

Jordan Vong was last seen around 4:34 p.m. Monday wearing a shirt and gray sweatpants, according to a missing person’s report. His family called Denver police around 7 p.m. reporting his disappearance, said Sonny Jackson, Denver police spokesman.
“He’s been gone for a number of hours. You’re not talking about a teen-ager who may have run away. He’s a little boy,” Jackson said. “Age alone heightens our concern.”
He is 3 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 40 pounds. He has brown eyes and hair.
The FBI and law enforcement officers across the Denver metro area joined the search Monday night. Authorities on Tuesday searched a 20 block radius in the neighborhood where Vong went missing, Jackson said. Law enforcement officers have interviewed multiple people in the area and have searched nearby parks, ponds and vehicles leaving the vicinity.
“We’re going to use every resource available to try and find the boy,” Jackson said. “The biggest thing right now is if he is staying over at a friend’s house or if someone sees him they should contact police immediately.”
Crime alert bulletins were issued across the Denver metro area Monday night and again Tuesday morning.
Anyone who sees the boy is asked to call Denver Police Department’s Missing and Exploited Persons Unit at 720-913-2000.
