Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday endorsed Democratic candidate Jason Crow, who is running in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District.

Crow, a former Army ranger and an attorney, is running against incumbent U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Aurora. The endorsement from a prominent Democratic figure comes in an election cycle that will determine whether the GOP continues to have control of the House.

“From working his way through college, to serving our country overseas, to advocating for veterans back home, Jason Crow is a leader I am proud to endorse,” Biden said in a statement. “We need more leaders like him in Washington, and Coloradans will have an easy choice this fall.”
