A suspected methamphetamine lab was raided Tuesday night in west Denver and two people were taken into custody, police said.
Police executed a search warrant in the 900 block of Vrain Street, according to a Twitter post.

The home raided is down the block from Cowell Elementary School, where children attended the first day of school Monday.
The suspects’ names were not released.
Meth labs, typically found in remote areas, are dangerous environmental hazards because of chemicals used and volatile fumes produced. The labs have the potential to ignite and blow up. Meth labs emit an alarming stench.
Police did not say how they were tipped off to the suspected lab.
