Flatirons Elementary School was briefly placed in lockout status Wednesday after a bear was spotted in the neighborhood, according to school officials.
School kids were brought from outdoor activities into the school during the lockout for their protection, according to a Boulder Valley School District tweet.
The school was later returned to normal activities, a subsequent tweet says.
