Inside linebacker Nate Landman’s first career start for the was a memorable one.

The sophomore on Tuesday was named the Pac-12 defensive player of the week. In CU’s 45-13 win over Colorado State on Friday, he recorded 16 tackles (six solo and 10 assisted), two for losses and he also snagged an interception. His 16 tackles were the second-most in the country in Week 1.

Stanford wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside won the weekly offensive award and USC kicker Chase McGrath earned the special teams honor. CU wide receiver Laviska Shenault was nominated for offense and cornerback was nominated for special teams.
