Colorado Springs police weren’t responding to queries after a fatal shooting Sunday morning.
Police went to a residence on the 1600 block of Howard Avenue after receiving a report of shots fires at about 11:05 a.m. They found two men in the place, with one dead and the other suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a police bulletin. The wounded man was taken to an unidentified hospital in critical condition.
Colorado Springs firefighters apparently went to the scene and confirmed that the man in the residence was dead. A police violent crimes unit has taken responsibility for investigating what happened.
