Five-time Olympic gold medalist and Coloradan Missy Franklin has gotten engaged.

Franklin, who graduated from Aurora’s Regis Jesuit High School in 2013, announced her engagement on Instagram Sunday to fellow swimmer Hayes Johnson. Franklin’s post shows Johnson proposing at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Georgia.

“Thank you for making this the easiest answer to any question I’ve ever been asked,” wrote Franklin, who is 23.

In her 2012 Olympic debut, then 17-year-old Franklin dedicated her races to Colorado following the deadly shooting at an Aurora premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises.” Franklin won five medals that year, four of which were gold. Her 200-meter backstroke time (2:04.06) is the current world record. She won another gold in Rio.

Franklin’s fiance, Hayes Johnson, swam in college at the University of Texas, winning the NCAA team championships in 2010. He also competed in the 2008 and 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
