This tale of three tails has a happy ending.

Boulder police were able to help out a trio of baby squirrels who had gotten their tails tangled up with each other.

Police said the three squirrels fell out of a tree at 12:20 p.m. Sunday in the 3600 block of Chase Court. When an animal control officer arrived, Boulder police said the squirrels were all tangled up in a bird’s nest.

The officer was able to untangle all of the squirrels’ tails from each other and from the nest, and they ran off uninjured.
