People are most actively scouring downtown Denver for rentals, and after that they are also looking at the Cherry Creek, Capitol Hill, Highland and Stapleton neighborhoods, according to , an apartment search engine based in Atlanta.
Apartment Guide looked at both where people were searching internally on its website, as well as on Google. It combined the ranking on each to come up with a list of the most popular neighborhoods for renters on the hunt in Denver.
“There is the possibility that the people searching for these areas are looking for places that are more well-known,” said Brian Carberry, a managing editor at Apartment Guide. “I’ve never been to Denver, but I’ve heard of Highland.”
Carberry also thinks that the population searching online for apartments via Google and dedicated sites may skew toward younger renters looking to live in “hip” neighborhoods. And, the heavy amount of apartment construction downtown could be tipping the scales in its favor.
After the top five, other neighborhoods on the most popular list included Park Hill, Five Points, Green Valley Ranch and City Park, according to the report.
