A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon in an unincorporated area of Arapahoe County, near the Denver line, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.
Police received calls of shots fired at 12:24 p.m. in the 8599 block of East Evans Avenue. Deputies found a man down in a common area at an apartment complex, said Julie Brooks, an Arapahoe County sheriff’s spokeswoman. He was transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound but died.
Deputies are canvassing the area, conducting interviews and investigating on scene. Police are not identifying a suspect at this time.
