The curt demands that once jolted passengers to action on Denver International Airport’s trains between concourses and the main terminal have been replaced with kind, melodic reminders from a popular Denver TV anchor.

Following an online “Voices of DEN” poll in which 75,000 people staked their preferences, the new “train call” features 9News anchor Kim Christiansen and Colorado Avalanche sports announcer and radio personality Alan Roach, .

The “train call” includes operational messages such as where to board, which concourse passengers have arrived at and when to exit. As part of the new recordings, some of the messages have been refreshed, but the iconic musical jingles remain the same.

Most notable of the changes is the removal of the infamous message that admonished passengers, “You are delaying the departure of this train.”

It has been replaced with a gentler line, “Please keep clear of the doors as this train is
貹پԲ.”

The messages are heard by 100,000 passengers every day, according to the airport.
