A man was stabbed and pistol-whipped Wednesday afternoon near West Colfax Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, in Lakewood, and two suspects were arrested nearby a short time later.
The incident happened about 5 p.m. on the northwest corner of the intersection, Lakewood police said.
Lakewood and Denver police responded because the intersection borders the two cities. Police found a man who had been struck with a gun and stabbed. He was taken to a hospital.
A short time later, Denver police contacted two men walking in the area of West 14th Avenue and Chase Street. Officers found the men to be in possession of a gun. Both were arrested after being detained and questioned.
