Scoring 35 points in a half seems like reason to celebrate — and for a coach whose seat is as hot as Vance Joseph’s, it’s certainly nothing to scoff at — but the last time the Broncos had such a feat, the season didn’t end well for their coach.
On Nov. 14, 2010, the Broncos scored 35 first-half points in a 49-29 victory over the Chiefs. Their coach at the time? Josh McDaniels. It would be his last victory with Denver; he was fired three weeks later.
