A person was shot in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood Thursday night and a short time later police responded to a shooting in the Baker neighborhood.
Officers are present in the 2300 Blk of Welton St. in regard to a shooting. Due to the nature of a GSW, the injuries are considered Serious Bodily Injury.

The earlier shooting happened in the 2300 block of Welton Street, police said.
The victim, who suffered serious injuries, was taken to a hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
The second shooting happened at West 1st Avenue and Bannock Street in the Baker neighborhood, police said. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Officers are present @ 1st & Bannock St. in regard to a shooting. Due to the nature of a GSW, the injuries are considered Serious Bodily Injury. There is no additional information at this time.
