As expected, the Rockies are cutting loose veteran outfielder . Tuesday, the club declined its $12.5 million option on ParraԻ will pay a $1.5 million buyout.

Parra, 31, now a free agent, hit .284 with six homers and 53 RBIs in his third season with Colorado. In 2018, he started 90 games in left field in 2018 and seven in right. His .342 on-base percentage was the second-highest of his career. He thrived as a pinch hitter, batting .393, and his 11 pinch hits were tied for fourth in the National League.

Parra played in three Rockies playoff game, including a start in Game 2 of the National League division series vs. Milwaukee. He batted 4-for-8 in the postseason.

Veteran right is also a free agent, so the Rockies will head into the hot stove season with Ի  as their primary outfielders.
