The team isn’t great but its fans are all right.
Despite the Broncos’ unwavering struggles, Denver fans continue to flock to Mile High to watch the Orange and Blue. On Sunday, the Broncos tallied their 400th consecutive sellout, though 4,222 fans who bought tickets were no-shows.
The streak began Week 1 of 1970, and Sunday extended the NFL record for most consecutive sellouts in a single city, ahead of the Steelers (393), Giants (361) and Packers. Green Bay’s streak of 359 sellouts at Lambeau Field does not include 107 games played in Milwaukee from 1960-1994.
