Western Slope woman arrested on murder charges, abuse of corpse in April missing person report

Among the charges being levied is first-degree murder.

Mesa County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 34-year-old Clifton woman on murder charges in connection with a missing person report from April.

Rebecca Walker is facing charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse, according to a news release from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

She is being held without bond at the Mesa County Detention Facility. The investigation remains ongoing.
