1:15 p.m. — Bengals’ star receiver is back

Cincinnati is expected to receive an offensive boost versus the Broncos with the healthy return of wide receiver A.J. Green.

Green, who missed the Bengals’ previous three games with a toe injury, told local reporters Wednesday that he plans to play Sunday. The seven-time Pro Bowl selection has 45 catches for 687 yards and six touchdowns through eight games this season. But Green will now receive passes from backup quarterback Jeff Driskel after starter Andy Dalton was sidelined on injured reserve this week with a thumb injury. Green downplayed any lacking chemistry with his new QB.

“Just put the ball somewhere. I’ll get it,” .

Bengals’ coach Marvin Lewis confirmed in a media teleconference call that Green will play against the Broncos.
