The Colorado men’s basketball team had an early wake-up call on Saturday.

The Buffaloes didn’t answer the bell.

Coach Tad Boyle’s club once again committed far too many turnovers and was unable to execute a defensive game plan centered on slowing one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the nation. The result was a 72-67 defeat against Indiana State in the opening game of the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii.

It was Indiana State’s first victory against a Pac-12 Conference program since 1946, while the Buffs were relegated to the consolation bracket where they will take on Hawaii on Sunday at 5 p.m. MT.
