A 71-year-old skier died Monday on a ski run at Breckenridge Ski Resort.
At about 1 p.m., the Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded when the skier was found unconscious on the mountain, according to a news release.
There’s no indication that the victim collided with any object, the sheriff’s office said.
The skier was taken to Peak 9 Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His name was not released. The Summit County coroner will investigate the cause of death.
