Jared Polis wants to move the state forward with his progressive agenda. But if you’re headed downtown this morning, you might be stuck in traffic first.

Two hours before his 11 a.m. inauguration, cars are backed up for blocks around the Capitol building, which sits in the block bound by Colfax and 14th avenues and Lincoln and Grant streets. Traffic should ease by mid-afternoon, as the ceremony ends at about 1 p.m.

Those attending should expect difficulties finding nearby parking.
