A pedestrian was hit and killed by an RTD light rail train Wednesday in Aurora, police said.
We are working a fatal pedestrian versus train crash at E. 33rd Ave. and N. Peoria St. The R Line Train service is stopped at the Fitzsimmons Station. RTD Busses will transfer passengers between there and the Peoria Station. Follow @RTD for service info.

The fatal collision happened about 7 p.m. in the area of East 33rd Avenue and Peoria Street, police said. The RTD R-line service is stopped at the Fitzsimmons Station. Buses are transferring riders between Fitzsimmons and the Peoria Station.
The man hit by the train was taken to a local where he later died of his injuries, police said. The name of the victim was not release.
An investigation is ongoing.
