The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department released video Thursday showing a car speed across Fairview Parkway before hitting a snow bank and flying into a home.
The sheriff’s department said that the driver, a man, suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive the crash, which happened at about 9:29 a.m. Wednesday in the 9700 block of Dunning Circle, according to South Metro Fire Rescue spokesman Eric Hurst.

The car actually went through one home’s garage before striking another garage and finally coming to a rest.
The driver’s identity has not yet been released. Denver7 reported that authorities said prior to the crash.
It was reported that at least one person was home at the time of the crash, but nobody else was injured.
SMFR is on scene of an accident involving a vehicle that crashed through portions of 2 homes in Highlands Ranch at 9735 & 9737 Dunning Cir. The single occupants of the car was injured and transported to the hospital, no other injuries or people trapped. Working to stabilize now.
