A bicyclist was hit and injured Wednesday afternoon by a vehicle in downtown Denver, police said.
TRAFFIC ALERT: Officers are investigating an auto vs bicycle crash at Lincoln/17th Ave., which resulted in serious injuries. Lincoln St. is closed and the cause of the crash is under investigation. Alternate route advised.

The collision happened about 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and East 17th Avenue, police said.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The intersection has been shut down because of the incident.
