Injured hiker rescued from Chautauqua Park in Boulder on Saturday

The 32-year-old man was transported to the hospital

A 32-year-old hiker was rescued in Chautauqua Park on Saturday afternoon after injuring his leg, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

At 4:30 p.m., emergency responders were alerted to a male hiker on the Royal Arch Trail near Chautauqua Park. The man sustained a possible broken leg and could not walk on his own, the release said.

Rescuers completed a three-hour evacuation, transporting the man to a hospital, police said.
