New Colorado head football coach Mel Tucker continues adding size to the 2019 recruiting class.

On Sunday, Jayden Simon of Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash., announced his verbal commitment, and on Monday offensive tackle Nikko Pohahau of Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis gave his pledge to the Buffs.

Both players took official visits to CU last weekend and both have a three-star rating from 247Sports.com. The Buffs now have 23 players in this class, including 16 that signed in December. The regular signing period begins Feb. 6.

Ten of the 23 players in the class are linemen.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Simon had 54 tackles, including 20 for loss, nine sacks and an interception in nine games as a senior. He is the sixth addition to the defensive line, with five of those since Tucker was hired in early December.
