A man was shot in Lakewood on Thursday night in the area of West Fourth Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, police said.
The shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m., and the victim was taken by a private vehicle to Swedish Belmar ER, 260 S. Wadsworth Blvd., police said.
The victim was dropped off at the emergency medical room by a man and woman who immediately left. Police did not release a description of the vehicle, the man or the woman.
The victim was transferred to Swedish Medical Center, 501 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood, and is in critical condition, police said.
Police believe the shooting took place on Fourth Avenue between Sheridan and Ames Street. No suspect information was available.
