For the third time this season, Nuggets center on Monday was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week. It is the fifth time he has won the award.
The 23-year-old All-Star averaged 22.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 2.00 steals while leading Denver to a 4-0 record last week.
On the season, he’s averaging a team-leading 20.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.4 steals through 51 games.
Jokic is just one of three Nuggets to win the award five or more times, joining Carmelo Anthony (10) and Alex English (7). He, along with Anthony, are the only Denver players to earn the honor three times in a single season.
Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
