Avalanche dog Rio, 8, found Jack Western of A-Basin Ski Patrol during an avalanche dog demonstration during the Beacon Bowl at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on Feb. 9. The Beacon Bowl is an all-day event developed by the A-Basin Ski Patrol. The event includes a beacon search competition, avalanche dog and beacon demonstrations.
