The union representing a majority of Denver teachers walked out of the last-ditch negotiations with Denver Public Schools on Saturday night and went ahead with the city’s first teachers strike in 25 years on Monday morning.

Negotiators from DPS and the Denver Classroom Teachers Association negotiated late into the night Tuesday before ultimately deciding to call it a night and meet again Wednesday at 10 a.m. “We can certainly see a pathway forward,” Denver Public Schools Superintendent Susana Cordova said.
